According to maintenance, yes the fan is running. They verified this by checking on the side of the controller where the white filter is.

Thanks for the fast response Danny. I will have to check tomorrow, I left work for the day.
FYI, our controller does not have a CD deive. It is a compact controller.

I don't know. I cannot see anything on the pendant. It acts like the pendant never starts. When I power up, it is always black. Never tries to start windows.

Hello All,
I have a KRC2 controller that had been powered down for a day. When we brought power back up, the robot didn't come back up. I noticed 2 things right away:
1) The Amber LED on the profibus card came on for a split second, then went off right away.
2) The pendant is always black.
All other profibus is working on the machine, as well as everything else. Just not the robot.
I know this is a vague post, sorry for this. I am new to Kuka robots, so not sure what to post. Please ask questions and I will try and answer.
Thank You

Hello All,
I was wondering if there was a way to change the production speed globally? I have several programs my robot jumps in and out of, and I want to set an override speed. Say I want to set the robot to run at 75% all the time.
Thanks,

Double check these 2 things:
In HTTP set all values to unlock Menu>>I/O>>Host Comm>> HTTP
In Variables set $UI_CONFIG.$READONLY all 3 should be set to false menu>>next>>System>>Variables

The is a system file that needs to be changed. i do not have the file with me, but I will check tonight when I get home.
I use Total Commander for doing this. It works great. http://www.ghisler.com/download.htm
You still need to change a variable.

I know, I didn't know what to say when we management said that as well. For the first time in my 42 years of life, I was speechless.

SkyeFire,
Thank you for the extra information. I am not worried about cycle time at all, for a change. So I would prefer to have the robot stop and delay. Besides, if it looks like it pauses, the collared shirt guys think it works and makes a difference.

Thank you for the fast reply.
The second of the 2 examples is closest to what I am looking for. Although, I want to fire the output after the wait time.
What I have now is this:
LIN 1
LIN 2
Wait 0.250s
$OUT[1]=TRUE

Hello All,
I am new to Kuka robots. In my past life, there was a look ahead feature in the program. I was wondering if Kuka has this? If so, can we turn it on and/or off? I have a spot in my program that I must go to a LIN point, then wait 0.25 seconds. I am wondering what effect a read ahead would do in this situation?

Thank you for the response.
Can I then go in and change the names of the points? Or will all that do is change the name of the points? How can I make an almost duplicate copy? Sorry for the noob questions here, but I'm a noob at Kuka robots.
All that is different between the 2 is the last 2 positions. This is why I thought a duplicate might be the way to go.
Thank you in advance.

Guys, and Gals,
I want to copy/duplicate a program. I have 2 similar programs. If I duplicate them, can I just change the names in the new program? Or do I need to do something different?

I have had the same issue as well. The only way we could do it was to login via a PC or HMI that was connected to the robot.
Like an AB HMI.
