    Hello everyone,


    I'm working on a new cell concept, and it's happened to be identical production parts and same cell configurations as another line we currently use.

    If I literally have a new identical robot as one i'm currently using (same controller model, same robot model, same installed software), would image backup work to an identical unit?

    I'm trying to minimize installation time and have same spare parts stock.

    or if you have any idea to minimize installation setup process, please share your knowledge.

    I'm using Fanuc iRVision on R-30iA R-30iB plus controller. I usually access to iRVision programming via laptop, after IT replaced the laptop to Win10, I started to have difficult time to use IE.

    Crash/conflict with MS Edge, not showing menu bar while edit on Training Mark, and so on.

    Do you guys have any issue using IE on Win10 or 11?

    Are there other ways to program/edit iRvision except using IE or TP?

    I'm trying to work on iRVision setup on R-30iA controller.

    I'm ok to connect robot web server and other menus. When I chose the Vision setup, it asked me to load Vision UIF control and install it.

    After installing Vision UIF control, I rebooted the pc and tried to reconnect it.

    But, it asked me to load Vision UIF control again, and I'm keep doing same steps over and over again.

    Do you have any idea to solve this issue?

    Hi,

    I'm using PMC ladder function on R-J3iB controllers and wondering how you want to use it in windows10 or 11.

    Currently I'm using Fanuc ladder-III on Win7, but I'm not sure how long the laptop will last.

    I asked the Fanuc, but there is no software for Win10.


    Does anyone know how to use Fanuc ladder function on Win10?

    or Virtual machine windows7 is the only way?

    I'm using PMC option on R-J30iA with GE HMI.

    I recently added new part numbers 10 and 11, but it does not write to PMC data table.

    I don't have probelm writing data 0~9 to D0004 in PMC, but it can display only 0~9. If I write 10 or 11, D0004 values shows "?"

    Is there something that I miss?


    I looked up the "cimplicity HMI for robots operator's manual" as reference and it show the below example for reading robot I/O


    D(a*2), D((a*2)+1) <=> %AI(A+4001)

    D4, D5 <=> %AI4003


    Does anyone know how to solve this issue?

    The robot is using two cameras to look down one single wide conveyor.

    Normally four parts are loaded on conveyor and each camera takes care of two parts. (no overlapp view for part location)

    But for new part we're working on is smaller and we've decided to load five parts on the conveyor

    The middle part on the conveyor can be seen by both cameras and the robot tries to pick up two times by each camera.

    I'm using iRVision tracking with R-30iB plus controller and two cameras are looking down the conveyor.

    I'm working on a new part for picking up from conveyor and one of the parts on the middle section of the conveyor can be seen by two cameras at same time.

    How do I avoid duplicated part found by cameras?

    I'm thinking camera1 sees whole field of view and camera2 only see view without overlapped middle section.

    If this is the right approach, please share how I navigate the menu.

    If not, share your ideas with us.

    I'm currently using EZautomation HMI for Fanuc robot without PLC.

    Or Automation direct HMI can also support GE SNPX protocol.


    If the panel size does not matter, I'd recommend kit version that comes with software.

    But it only cost around $100.


    It's not vivid color nor fast response comparing to other popular HMI, but I do not have any issue with using this HMI.

    I'm using R-30iB+ controller and M20 robot for conveyor picking with encoder tracking.

    it looks like the robot wait little longer than I thought and if the robot picks the parts earlier, it would save cycle time.

    If I want to edit up-stream boundary of the boundary window, how do I navigate the menu?

    After change, do I need to re-set up anything related to iRVision like frame setup, pick touch up point and so on?

    I do have other questions regarding to independant execution.


    If I use looping logic (JMP LABEL) on sub program PROC0002, does it keep running even though Main program PROC0001 is already ended?


    if sub program PROC0002 take more time to finish than main program PROC0001, and PROC0001 is looping, does sub program PROC0002 finish its program and then start again, interrupt then start again, or error?

    I'm trying to use "RUN" instruction to execute programs simultaneously.

    I'm not sure that when the "RUN" program ends.

    Example)

    Main program

    PROC0001

    1: J P[1] 100% CNT100

    2: J P[2] 100% CNT100

    3: RUN PROC0002

    4: L P[4] 500mm/sec CNT 100

    5: L P[5] 500mm/sec CNT 100

    END


    Does PROC0002 program end as same time as PROC001? (sub program PROC0002 waits for Main program PROC0001 to be finished?)

    or do they finished their own programs independantly?
