Oh, I thought that the DSQC328 would provide the 24V by itself!
So, do you mean that I connect a 24VDC from XT.31.2 to the X1:10?

You don't state which controller - S4C+ or IRC5 M2004. For either, the best manual to find hook up for DSQC328 & other I/O is the controller product manual - procedures.
For many 'Newbies', getting that green NS on is the hardest.
Since I have it memorized:
0V to X1:9, X2:9, X3:9, X4:9
24VDC to X1:10 & X2:10
Not sure of your setup but normally if using the 24VDC at XT31 - connect at the output of the 2A fuse or provide a separate 2A fuse.
I am using the S4C+ controller, and yes, it took me a long time to set the NS to green, but now the NS is constantly green. I also defined a digital output signal ‘out_ch_1’ and set the value to 1; however, the multimeter doesn’t show any voltage.
According to the manual, you are right. Pin 9 is 0V, and Pin 10 is 24VDC for X1 and X2. However, when I connect the multimeter to pin X1:10 and X1:9, I still don’t get a voltage.
Have you looked in the manuals sub-forum?
Yes, I used it and it helped me so much, but I still can’t get the output signal.
Thank you.
Hi,
I am new to robotics and am trying to use digital output signals in the ABB IRB 140. I have connected the DSQC 328 to the controller, and both the MS and NS lights are lit. However, I am having trouble with the wiring. I don’t actually know where to connect the GROUND wire. I think it might be pin 9, but I’m afraid of damaging the robot. Can somebody help me with the wiring? Are there any important safety issues I need to consider?
