I believe I might be overlooking something, so I imported a robot backup of a workcell. This robot controls a turntable (G5). I’ve imported the CAD model for this table, but I'm unsure how to make the simulation realistic. The table is supposed to rotate from 0 to 180 degrees and back and forth.

Is this controlled by inserting a link? If you could provide me with the proper steps to set this up, I would greatly appreciate your help!

Update: I ended up redownloading RoboGuide onto another computer and transferred the license. Everything worked fine on the other computer. I tried to transfer my old work cell backups and most would result in the error above. Ended up taking my software home and everything works, it is / was an IT firewall problem once I proved it to them they fixed it.

DylanNOEL please see attached. Once it freezes, I close it out and it pops up this error box with these codes.

Hey everyone so I keep having issues with all my RoboGuide options other than HandlingPRO. Any time I try to load up my MIG robot I get the error attached. I have been in talks with FANUC for about a week with no luck and my management team is starting to get frustrated with me about it. Has anyone ran into this? If so please help!

What's been done so far.... IT Admin rights, Run in Admin Mode, Uninstalled and Reinstalled, Installed latest version ZP, updated the .NET framework, updated windows. All with no luck.

Update: HandlingPro doesn't work either now on my older projects.

  • Style Setup Confusion

    • Foxtrot2050
    • December 13, 2024 at 3:04 PM

    Hello Everyone!

Ok, so I am in the middle of setting up STYLE as the program select mode. I pulled up another cell in roboguide that I wanted to reference and everything is setup the same. However after I swipe to cycle start the teach pendent gives me a SYST-011 Failed to run task paired with a SYST-069 Program number out of range. I am at a loss, I looked into the CONFIG menu in style and everything matches. Any guidance would be great!

P.S. When I use OTHER it works but I was hoping to use style for this setup.

    Thanks,

EndAffector Turns out the fuse was attached to a separate circuit board along with the other axis breaks. Long story short one of the brake cables was snapped in half so this caused the fuse to blow.

P.S. If your ever looking for this its usually a big green fuse. (2A 250V)

    Thanks!

  • Roboguide Export?

nd88 Thanks for the feedback, I understand your frustration with how managements can be trust me but I might not have been detailed enough.

The original project from the integrator is done and they are gone it ran for 4 years in total, but we own the robots and everything that came along with it. This doesn't really have anything to do with the integrators anymore it was just a thought that "Hey maybe we can rebuild a new cell with the newer robots and servo guns it has on it what would that look like?" Type of thing.

From what your saying it seems like the information is here, so when I get more time I will do more research. I was just hoping someone with some better experience then me with RoboGuide has done this in the past. Thanks for your input.

    Hello All! :welcome:

Long story short, we had a integrator install a cell into our faciality. I have the whole work cell inside my RoboGuide sim but now the project is almost at the end of contract. Bosses are already talking about moving some of these robots to different cells throughout the shop. Is there a way for me to "export" a whole robot with everything the same? EOA,TCP everything and move it to another project cell and then import it? I did a little research but came up empty handed. Let me know if you need additional details.

    Thanks!!

Its been a couple years since I took the Roboguide course but is there a way for me to have Roboguide look at a created program (.tp) through the load option then have it perfect it? I remember us doing something similar in class to were we put a nut on a fake table then had the robot program a path based on the nut threads? Just curious if there is such a feature, preferably with something not requiring CAD but a .tp already put together. :clinking_glasses:

"Collection" is FANUCs naming of a folder that contains programs in the SELECT menu.

When you create a new program, you can select various subtypes such as:
    NONE = Regular TP program
MACRO = You guessed it! It's a MACRO type program
COLLECTION = This "new program" will not be a program at all, but rather a folder/directory in which you can store your programs.

To assign an existing (or a new) program do a folder ("Collection"), when in the Details-page of the program, there is a parameter for "Collection". If you have created any Collections, then at this parameter you can choose which of those Collections this program should belong to.

Then, instead of your program being present in the SELECT menu, you will see your Collections. Go inside and BOOM! There's your programs that you've assigned to this specific Collection.

gpunkt This collection is pretty cool, however how do I add programs to this folder / collection because every time I press enter and it shows all the programs it wont allow me to move individual .tp programs but if I press move all it works but obviously moves everything which I don't want. What am I missing here? Also on a side not is this a package option or is this enabled by a variable? Thanks!!

Your PRIO alarms are Ethernet issues. Start with your I/O configuration.

The alarms will clear momentarily when you reset the fault but will come back.

I am a little confused by your meaning? The I/O configuration was fixed after I enabled everything again. Now there is no faults and it keeps freezing every Shift->FWD

    Hello all!!

Something strange keeps happening and I was wondering if anyone has run into this. We are integrating a new robot (R-2000iB 210F) from a (S-430iW). I grabbed all the .tp programs from old robot. Very long story short when I try to start running a .tp program it freezes the screen. I cycle power and it works unless I try to run a .tp program and it freezes every time even if I make a new one without the copied moves from the previous robot. The message bar on top remains to work but it locks up everything else. Occasionally you can get it to start running sometimes but it will freeze every time...:motz:

Based of previous forum I have read, I changed out the safety board/board the tp connects too, teach pendent and the cable with no success.

The only error messages I get every time is PRIO-230 and PRIO-231. I even tried unplugging the ethernet communications because someone else mentioned it could be overwhelmed with communications and that didn't work neither.

Hopefully someone has something, I am at a loss for sure.:gaah:

P.S. Forgot to mention, RoboGuide runs all of the programs without any errors or issues.

Or you just put all your .TP in a Collection (folder) and only have the MAIN.TP outside of that Collection?

Im not to sure what your refering to can you please explain more on how this is done?

Jump KAREL, maybe u should find another way. Save all .tp in PC, use FTP to send .tp to the robot. It 's not a good idea ,but possible to auto. But,why so many tp.......

We do automotive, we have multiple jobs we run at any given time.

There is about 110 programs at this point in time, more to come. They all vary in length. The current method does fine, we want them to only have 1 job loaded at a time due to operator confusion. If it is over complicated maybe its not the best solution after all. Just one less step for the operator to worry about was my idea behind it.

The supplier that gave us this robot stored all the .tp in FR:, right now we are manually loading, saving and deleting them manually. I am trying to get away from that so I can make it automatic.

So far, I have the PLC and the robot monitoring GI 2 if they both match and the operator loaded the job manually from FR:, then I have a master program jumping to run that job. If that makes sense.
