Hello!! I just solved it!!
I don't know if it was a coincidence or what.
With the Robot off I have loosened the control cable all its threads but without removing it.
I started by pressing stop + softkey 1
I got a different subtraction screen and something about downloading an image from the flash. I waited until it was downloaded and when the boot started again. I have turned off the robot, inserted and tightened the cable well and turned it back on and it is now working.

Good morning.
I have a functional M2004 that I just restarted and now it gets stuck on the Welcome to the world of ABB industrial robots screen.
I remember something similar happened a while ago and a technician made me press certain buttons on the boot screen and it started working, but I don't remember it and I don't have that technician's number either.
As you can see, the lights seem to be as they should or at least I think so.
Does anyone know how I can get it to start again?

¿Sabe dónde está la carpeta del grupo del sistema? Si crea una carpeta allí con el nombre de su sistema de robot y copia los archivos key.id y program.id allí, luego abra robinstall. busque el nombre del sistema que creó, resáltelo y mostrará la cadena de claves, entre otra información del sistema.

This thread is from six and a half years ago, that user has not been active since 2019. The robot type does not matter, what matters is the version of the controller. Do you have a backup? Do you have robinstall?

Why you want to open key.id file? Key.Id file consists of hex code. If you would like to know about your key try robInstall or If you like the open key.id file try "File Viewer Plus"
Hello! How could I get the key from the key.id with robinstall? I have it installed but I can't find the option.
I want it to reinstall the OS on an ABB 6400.
