panic mode, thank you for the advice. I will be more thorough in the future. You are correct, I did not think to jumper the two together.
One more question if I jumper the 24V and 0V connectors together, there is not an additional terminal to get a 0V / common from on the EK1100 to connect the "low side" of the digital outputs to. How is this typically done?

Yes agreed I will not double post.
My responses are in red.
Was the robot shipped from KUKA with the Beckhoff modules installed?
Yes robot the Beckhoff module was installed by Kuka.
Your diagram makes perfect sense I just needed to confirm I was not breaking KUKA best practices. I plan to add a 24V power supply in the cabinet in future if my IO needs increase.
Thank you!

Hello,
I have a the following hardware setup:
Krc4 - 8.6.10
Kr50 2500
Beckhoff EK1100
Beckhoff EL2809 for DO
Beckhoff EL1809 for DI
I have to wire in 2x DO outputs that need to supply less than 0.2A of current each to power some relays. I noticed that the EK1100 24v UP is not wired so the DO terminals cannot output any voltage. I assume KUKA leaves this unwired because they don't know how much power users will draw when they configure their EK1100s? But I did not want to assume.
Is it un advised to simply add a terminal block to the DIN rail and spilt the 24V that is powering the 24V US that turns on the EK1100. Since I have a relatively small load, I would prefer not to buy and add a 24V power supply in the cabinet if its not necessary.
Thanks in advance!

Hello,
I am attempting to power my Beckhoff, IO 24V the same way. I have a KRC4 with a KR50 R2500, I have both X11 and X13 interfaces. All the connections panic mode outline are taken X251 and x261is there another place I can get 24V to power the contacts of my Beckhoff EK1100?
Thanks,
