Seems to only happen in T1 mode with it set to "cold welding" (arc off)
Good afternoon all,
I'm using our KR 8 R2100-2 arc HW and its a KRC 4 KSS 8.6.7 HF1 HMI 8.6 and have received this warning message: RSI cannot be created, RSI-Arcsense 30013. Which stops program from welding after making changes (position adjustment)
It has just started doing this this week whilst making adjustments and I have to "Home" the robots and power down and boot up again.
which as you can guess is quite annoying as i have to change over 10 heavy tracks and start all over again.
Any help would be appreciated TIA

Good afternoon all, I am having similar issue with my KRC4 during a maintenance shutdown ( I was away at the time) the welders were disconnected while robot was on and reconnected, now the light bar (pilz safety light curtain) keeps disconnecting after 5 mins and won't allow operation any ideas? The robot is a KR 8 R2100-2 arc HW and its a KRC 4 KSS 8.6.7 HF1 HMI 8.6
**Update**
It was a software issue that was unseen before by KUKA and our robot supplier so unknown cause but the fix was to uninstall ArcSense, ArcTechAdvanced, ArcTechBasics, ready2_arc_easyHMI, ready2_arc_Fronius software and reinstall after deleting any duplicate files or unlinked files (red X)
Once that was done we reloaded back up files.
I hope that helps anyone - if unsure DO NOT DELETE FILES OR SOFTWARE and call KUKA
we believe we have found the issue its a duplicate file on the c drive, which I found in another post by Skyfire so thank you for all your help we are awaiting for confirmation from supplier to confirm.
thank you all
if the icon has anything extra on it that is red (the "X" or "!"), it indicates the problem.
so you need to inspect the file and resolve the issue.
the exclamation mark is also greyed out there is no red icons, we have inspected the file and don't see any differences, we are awaiting information back from the robot suppliers and KUKA but this is taking too long and production is down, so I thought I'd give the forum a shot, as you guys have previously helped with other issues
again appreciated and thank you
"/r1/r/sps()"
Sorry that was a typo i was trying to get message up before i had to leave work, yes it is still located under system file.
What? What does that mean?
we have 2 robots running in one cell and R1 and R2 at the minute R2 has no sps issues so I was comparing the files to see if there was any differences.
That does not make any sense, unless changes have been made to programs in the meantime.
at first my colleague who actually runs this cell made some changes to programs after the first time this came up and it was fine, now it wont run any programs at all.
so he reverted back to a previous back up but still an issue.
I appreciate the help and apologise if there isn't enough information but I'm giving all that I see on the screen (typos not helping obviously)
please stick to one issue and resolve it before moving to next one.
you had problem with SPS not starting. deal with that. can you manually start it? if not why? does the SPS compile? any errors...?
I thought it may have to do with this issue hence why I mentioned it in case it was part of the problem.
No I cant manually start it, it only gives me the error which I stated above in my first post, any manuals I have don't show the submit interpreter icon with an exclamation mark or explain what the issue could be with the kss error code
I have got issues in TP file for Arc User, ArcWoV and adaptive weld but when I click on display error it says "no more errors to display" so cant actually see what the error is??
navigate to SPS.SUB and check if the file is corrupt or missing dependencies.
There doesn't seem to be anything in SPS.SUB causing an issue from what I can see its reads the same as R2 with no warnings
Hi guys,
I seem to be having a similar issue with my robot, I have the SPS box greyed out with an exclamation mark.
Message error reads: Program selection during controller boot-up failed (module: /r1/r/sps(), M no. 1327) kss03257
The robot is a KR 8 R2100-2 arc HW and its a KRC 4 KSS 8.6.7 HF1 HMI 8.6
any help would be grateful tried cold starts which worked at first but don't anymore tried reloading previous projects and it didn't work either
Thank you
Thank you Fubini that was a massive help

Hi any help is appreciated I run 2X KR 8 R2100 arc HW on KRC 4 KSS 8.5.8 software. R1 and R2
The issue I'm having is once I've taught the point and run a test in T2 mode its all good does as should no problem, but when I have it complete and run in auto mode the placement points with R2 is off by 20-30mm but the weld points with R1 are correct.
So I go back and recheck all is well re-teach points with touch up just in case and again run in T2 mode welds are perfect placement perfect back into auto mode all placements are off again??
