    Hi,

We are unable to connect using KRterm to our Kawasaki E-series robot using an ethernet cable. The IP-adress is correct, and we are using port 23. We have followed the instruction manual (which previously worked), but after replacing a battery in the robot, we are no longer able to connect.

There's also an error message on the teach pendant: "E9402 [Cubic-S] Mismatch in parameter between robot controller and Cubic-S", but I believe we will solve this as soon as we can connect through KRterm.

The error message that occurs in KRterm only says "Connection failed. Retry?". Does anyone have any ideas why this might happen?

    Thank you.

    Hi

Are You sure You are connecting to the right port and adress?

E-controlers have 2 differnt physical Ethetnet ports that are in two different networks. Make sure You can get respones form ping command on your computer.

Check Your IP Adress of each network in Menu-> Aux Function-> 08 System-> 12 Network Setting.

There are two diffrent networks. Check Yours IP adres , Mask and If there is no Gateway set.

Cubic-S error does not have anything in common with Ethernet connection.

    Thank you for your reply.

As far as I can see, there is only one ethernet port on the control panel (see attached picture). On the teaching pendant there seems to be two pages for two different ports, but I can only find one physical port.

I have double checked the IP-adress on the teaching pendant, and we have the correct one. Also mask and gateway should be correct. When pinging, I get "Request timed out", so there seems to be an issue there. Any idea why?

    Thank you again for helping!

CPU cart In controler have two ports. Tis one is connettor to one of them for ease of maintenance. It is connected by extention cable to CPU card. Take off top cover of controller and try to connect directly to port on CPU card.

When top cover will be up You will have look as below. Ethernet port marked in red circle is extended to front panel. You can also use port 2 but it is also used for Software Ethernet/IP

We will try that, thank you kacz0r!

We also got it to work using the USB cable, so I'll set the issue as solved.
