    Greetings. YRC 1000 controller

I would need to change the Wire feed speed withing a job.

Is there a way to do this with I/O or with parameters.

For example, set a variable that i could change to set the wire feed speed inside a program.

    Ty for the help!

Sure, almost anything that is a constant number can be a variable. You can use the ARCSET instruction with a variable. If you are using macros the argument can be changed to a variable.

I know a thing or two, because I’ve seen a thing or two. Don't even ask about a third thing. I won't know it.

Hey thanks for the answer. We are using macros to call our welding parameters from the weld source.

Would you perhaps be so kind as to further explain how i would set this up with variables being written into the right argument? As far as i know, the macros were written for us by Yaskawa.

We are having problems with their macros as they dont allow to switch from pulse mode to short circuit transfer or spray transfer and vice versa, it only allows the change of parameters from pulse to pulse or short circuit to short circuit/spray.

we have a macro for manually imputing Current and other things but this macro doesnt let me to choose wire feed speed, so i would need to set up a variable that changes at what speed the wire is fed.

Our weld source doesnt have a communications card so im not sure arcset would work, ill try it out today.

It would help if we knew which type of welder you were using and how it's communicating (Ethernet or Discrete I/O)

Hey roboprof , We are using Binzel iROB pulse 500.

Im not sure about how its communnicating as im pretty new at this job, i would assume that its with the help of Discrete I/O. Would there be any way to check to know for sure?

I could also send you our Macro programs if thats legal to share and if it helps you out.

Sorry I'm not going to be much help. I know absolutely nothing about that welder.
