    Hello guys once aggain,

Is there anyone in here familiar with the ASCII upload function? Our client want's to use an offline program and we thought of taking the .LS file and uploading to our FANUC controller R30iB through a web HMI of Siemens's. After that we also want to have the option to choose the same "recipe" if they needed, not just upload a new one every single time. Thank you in advance. We also use S7-1200 plc and a Unified Basic Panel. 6AV2 123-3GB32-0AW0. If you have any ideas guys, I'm all ears! thank you in advance!

    Best regards,

    George

Only tested the functionality once or twice. Basically, you save the TP-program you wish to edit as an .LS-file, then you edit it, and then you load it back to the robot and it will compile it into a .TP-file again.

How you load it to the robot can be done in a few different ways, I assume.

I use it pretty much on every project, but I don't think it is the right tool for what you want.

For cells with recipes, we usually pass in the relevant parameters to the robot via group inputs, and make the programs parametric. No need to drop in new programs every time.

Check out the Fanuc position converter I wrote here! Now open source!

Check out my example Fanuc Ethernet/IP Explicit Messaging program here!
