Using JRM18 jumper connector to clear SRVO001 Operator Panel E-STOP on R30iB Compact Plus

    As the title says I'm trying to get my SCARA 12iA (R30iB compact plus) robot going using the JRM18 jumper connector.

    I have recieved this new robot, registered it and the only thing that keeps me from testing is Operator panel E-stop alarm.

    So far I soldered some pins I found in the Maintenance manual for R30iB Compact Plus namely:

    24VEXT_IN (1pin) --- 24V-2 (2pin)

    24V-2 (3) --- EES1(6) --- EAS1(7)

    0VEXT (35) --- 0V (36)

    0V (37) --- EES2 (40) --- EAS2 (41)

    (6 cables total)

    I connected the JRM18 jumper connector to the controller and started the robot, but the fault is still present, its the only fault that comes up. Is there anything I could do, maybe some settings in robot tech pendant need to be changed or is it possible that I may have blown a fuse before and I just got no alarm on TP ?

    Approved the thread.

    The operator panel E-stop will not be related to the JRM18 connector (unless you've soldered a dead short to 24vdc safety and blown fuse 3).

    You want to be looking at the JRt3 connector for the op panel E-stop. OPESP1, OPESP2, OPESP11 and OPESP21


    Do you have a Remote operator panel or are you using the Soft OP panel option?

    We are using tech pendant, the thing is with our JRT3 switch box that once we plug it in to the robot, fuse 2 gets blown, we haven't modified the JRT3 in any way, just as it came from Fanuc we plugged it in and this happens. I attached the pinout as it came from Fanuc if that helps.

    Also another thread mentioned that JRT3 connected like this is supposedly selecting AUTO & T2 at the same time. I thought the JRM18 connecter was faulty since we were the ones to solder it and surely nothing from Fanuc would be faulty. Wrong. :frowning_face: So yeah contacted Fanuc, but they are not sure either.

    Also the pinout sent to us by Fanuc is basically the same as we currently have.

    And this is how my JRM18 is soldered but only the pins with the black lines.

    In conclusion, to get my SCARA12iA up and running I needed both the JRM18 and JRT3 jumper connectors, how I connected JRM18 is higher in this thread and this is how I connected JRT3:

    A minute of silence for the two 1Amp fuses that were lost during this time. :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:
