Step mode auto off with motion instruction

Hi,

I'm reviewing a program in Roboguide, on a R30iB mate plus, and am having trouble figuring this out-

Step mode is automatically turned off when a motion instruction is executed. Seems like this is a variable setting, but I'm having trouble tracking it down.

Where would I find the setting that is removing the single step mode?

I've compared the sim created from a backup, with a "from scratch" sim that does not have this issue occurring, and still haven't found anything. I checked all system variables, config settings, between these 2 sim controllers, nothing yet.

From the manual, it does mention program recovery can disable step mode, but this isn't present in the program I'm checking.

Ah, I had not checked the program select menu, But appears my settings are the same as you posted- aside from program select mode

The program select mode is different between the "working" and "non working" controllers I have in sim, I did try changing it to "RSR" but it still turns off step mode.

I do have a "IO" program running in BG logic, but "stopping" and re-testing the single step function still acts the same.

I do not see any autoexec programs setup.

Yes. The only value that changes is $singlestep with the step mode selection. If its on and in step, it reverts to 0 as soon as fwd is pressed on a motion command line. It will stay in step through logic and other lines.

I opened your cell in RoboGuide. I have no problem stepping through you program. Do you work with anyone else who has RoboGuide? I would try and recreate the issue on their PC.

Ok thanks, I appreciate the time you put in this. Must just be a bug with roboguide- atleast it would seem I'm not just doing something wrong.
