    Hi,

We got ourselves our first KUKA robot transferred in an old cell. When starting it up, I got the message :

No 106 "Perform mastering A2", see attached picture.

I don't have the EMT tool so I was hoping to do it as SkyeFire described in this post:

    Thread

    Mastering with dial gauge

    kr210-2/krc2/KSS 5.x.x

    Hello,

Due to lack of an EMT device I would like to master my robot with a dial gauge. I see that dial gauges from KUKA are 0.01mm accuracy.

    1. Can I get similarly accurate results with an adapted 0.001 mm dial gauge?

    2. Is there something else going on in the backrgound when mastering with an EMT, like compensating for movement of robot from transmitting the signal, to receiving and stopping of the motor?

    3. Can I save the current mastering and load it, in case I get worse…

But when selecting the dial option, the window that appears is totally blank, see attached picture.

First contact with KUKA and I'm a bit lost. Any ideas?

Yes, Expert. I was thinking of trying as Administrator but I can't find the password. It is not KUKA

i think it won't show you the calibration window correct until you log in as an administrator.

Here you have some thread about how to reset password.

    Re: Password

I tried the "net user" command in KRC4 and its works very well.

I have also developed one app to reset all password to default " kuka ".

I have never tried on KRC1 and KRC2.

It seems like Expert is enough.

We found the problem. We did a cold restart and then it just magically worked. The calibration menu is no longer empty.

We tried earlier to section the robot but then the robot "hibernates". But selecting cold start in a menu and the section the robot made the trick.

cold start should be default and in some cases it is required (certain tech packages). humans are not really ready for other modes.

    1) read pinned topic: READ FIRST...

    2) if you have an issue with robot, post question in the correct forum section... do NOT contact me directly

    3) read 1 and 2

Changed the title of the thread from “Matestering problem” to “Mastering problem”.
