Earlier system version for DX200 robots in MotoSim2024?

    Hello,

    I am completely new to yaskawa robots and MotoSim, so bear with me.

    I recently downloaded MotoSim EG VRC 2024 with the demo license, with the intention of connecting to the robot we have in the shop. It is a DX200 controller for a MA1440 robot. The problem is that the controller is running system version DN1.91.00A, and the only options for system versions for DX200 in MotoSim are DN3.11.00 and DN2.42.00

    • So my question is, is it possible to import earlier system versions into MotoSim?

    Or should I look for an earlier version of motosim, e.g. 2015 or something - and how would that work with my demo license? As I can understand, the license gives access to the current version + 4 new versions, so I reckon I need a new demo license for an earlier version of the one I have right now?


    Because the problem I have right now when trying to create a new VRC controller(network) is that I get all download errors when I select either of the two newer system versions.

    Approved the thread.

    I took a backup of the robot on a USB stick and created a controller using the CMOS file, but again I am prompted with those 2 newer system versions, and I have to choose one, which updates the version in {SYSTEM INFO} -> {VERSION} to whatever I chose, which is not what I wanted.

    My local Yaskawa support guy said that the old system version should be installed when I made a controller from the CMOS file, which it didn't.

    Any ideas?

    Tried this just once, and don´t have my MotoSim at hand at this moment, but If You look at Program Files/MOTOMAN/MotoSimEG-VRCxxxx/Controller/DX200/VRC folder (or something like that), You will find VRC versions available for that version of MotoSim.

    I believe If You find an older version of MotoSim that has this specific VRC version (or a closer one) You want, copy that and put inside your MotoSim 2024 VRC folder, You will be able to choose that version next try You will try to create a new robot from CMOS bin.

    I also installed the oldest version of MotoSim EG VRC that I could find (v2016), but sadly the oldest system version for DX200 was DN2.18-00, which sadly didn't work either.

    It is strange because it can download everything up until it gets to the jobs .JBI files, and then it just gets an error with every single one.
