There is a way but, it requires you have either the core software or a backup. You need to load the passclr.sv file from the core software (in the J541 subdirectory) during a controlled start. IF you had a backup, you could open the syspass.sv file in a text editor, read through the gibberish and possibly find one or more passwords amongst all the characters.

At least on newer systems, you can request a password unlock code from FANUC.

Otherwise, are you not able to make a backup even from CTRL Start mode?

Hi sirs. I have a tech helper trying to eliminate the bzal 062 fault we changed the 4 batteries n top of the arm. It's an arcmate 50ic robot. And also changed the battery in the controller while it was on. Yet he reset the fault but will not go away still shows that fault. Also we did a controlled start trying to by pass the password he couldn't do anything without out the original pass word can fanuc provide a override password. Need assistance on this thanks in advance . Also. Trying g to do a back up. But I believe the password is preventing us .to do that .. we were in the maintance mode but still would not allow us to go further without the password. Thanks again.

Okay so couple of questions on this.

First, did you use OEM batteries and if not did you measure the voltage before you installed them? I have had customers buy batteries online, install them and then they have errors because the online batteries were not producing sufficient voltage.

Second, most controllers if you can log in at a high enough level will allow you clear and reset passwords. Downside for you is you will probably have to pay someone from Fanuc or from an integrator to log in clear out passwords and setup what you want, but for the cost it may be a cheap option for you depending on the levels which they can setup. I would say you want to have a level above any password you give to your specialist / setup guy, so you have an in. If you have a company you work with regularly, they may be willing to give you a log in level that enables you to do it but you may have to pay for onsite support for this. Just confirm before you agree to a visit and pay.

Thank you sir. Yes these are online amazon batteries they say oem . Also there is 3 levels for password one installer an 2 for setup and third operator . The password that we are having problems with us the installer he doesn't remember the password it's been 5 yrs since he left and that's where we are at so far now fanuc said the need a authorized person to okay them to give us a code . But we haven't tried that yet. Thanks again not sure if they will or not trying to go pass that with your help from these posts thanks .

You can backup even if there is password protect. i have done that in old version ,maybe 8.3 or older.

Do not change the "old" backup path and folder name in the teach pendent.

e.g. "UD1/BK2025" --( old backup path and folder name)

You have to creat a folder named "BK2025" in you USB disk , and then use this USB disk to do backup, i am not sure if it's usefull for the new version such as Ver9.3 or Ver9.4.

    Nice day~!

Hello, if you need to remove your password, you need to use the release key to do so, the procedure is as follows:

You need to take a picture of this interface and email it to me(964210817z@gmail.com), and you will get Release key.
    [MENU] - SETUP - Passwords - [PREV] - [NEXT] - [DISABLE]

    I hope I can help you.:face_with_tongue:

Check your on board battery holder for corrosion both inside and on the backside where wiring connects. Very common issue when battery alarm will not reset.

Or you perform an image backup and then use notepad to look for the account name within the sramx.img file, and below that is the password. Image backup can be performed in BOOT Monitor mode.

The procedure is as follows, provided you have made a good backup of the image. Steps for image backup: You need to insert the CF card into the PCMCIA slot, turn off the computer - F1+F5 - turn on the computer - BOOT Monitor - Controller backup/Restore - backup controller as Images, you will get the image backup of FROM and SRAM, and the password exists in the SRAM image file ( SRAM00.IMG, SRAM01.IMG...)

Then look for the account name, which corresponds to the following password.

Did you make a IMG backup? You can take a picture of the backup file.
