Kawasaki Guardlogix communication problems

    Hello friends, I have a problem integrating a Kawasaki E Conotroller robot, CubicS safety module with a Guardlogix 5069-L320ERS2 controller.
    An eth safety module was added to the plc and communication at the physical level is OK (ping OK) but when trying to assign the SNN to the safety module it gave us the error code 16#0080d - SNN no set, module out-of-box .

    In the online view the observed SNN value is FFFF-FFFF-FFFF so the plc cannot take control of the Robot.

    Any suggestions on this?

    Have you read any documentation on Cubic-S Safety Ethernet/IP, there is a small guide of connection and configuration using AB equipment, not sure if your device is included though.

    Cubic-S does not provide direct control of the robot, it is a programmable safety device based on the configuration inside the Cubic-S module for monitoring and allowing motions based on safety conditions that have been configured.

    Thanks for your reply. We have solved the problem. There is a configuration field named Backplane that was not set. After configuring this, the communication went online with the robot...

    That Backplane field is the last digit of address IP for the robot and is used to manaully set the SNN.

    Now we have to keep with the other configurations. Thanks for your comments!
