FANUC DCS - CIP Safety I/O

    My issue is on RoboGuide, not a physical robot. I'm trying to make a bare-bones RG file to update and modify standards for my company.

    When I go to the DCS menu, CIP Safety is not listed as an option and when I go to the Safe I/O Status page, CSIs and CSOs are not listed as options under DATA. I have checked the software options by re-serializing. Advanced DCS Package (R859), Advanced EIP ADP Pkg (R860), and DCS Safe I/O connect (J568) are loaded.

    I opened a backup of an existing robot in RG that has many of the same software options. This robot does have CIP Safety in the DCS menu and CSIs and CSOs in the Safe I/O Status screen.

    Is there something else that I should be checking to get CIP Safety to appear?

    You need the DeviceNet Safety option (J974) or the EtherNet/IP Safety option (R713) for this. In your case R713 should be correct because you have already installed R860.
