What board is being used:
- 1VR
- 1QR
What is jumper configuration set to on board(s):
- Internal supply.
- External supply.
If internal supply jumper configuration check 24V is available at DB37 with respect to ground.
- if not available then that is problem and could be damaged.
If external supply jumper configuration, then 24V and GND power source required as per manual on DB37.
In that case, I would now run the expansion IO macro from KRTerm then.
Have you tried any of the arm IO just as a point of question?
Well according to the manual you have, it appears the jumpers are across pins 2-3 which is for external power source specification which requires an external 24V source to be connected to respective DB37 pins.
So on the basis of your image and the manual, you would need to provide a 24v power source to pin 11 and 0v to pin 30 in order for the outputs to provide the output voltage.
Alternatively you could pull the 1WA board and change the jumpers on 1VR to internal pins 1-2 for using the internal voltage.
That's where my disconnect is with how they were jumped. I'm normally used to seeing 1 set of pins being jumped and not every single one like the photo but now that it's explained to me I get it and feel a little foolish I didn't see it on my own since I'm not a novice to jumpers in electronics.
We've all been here and often I find myself in these scenario's, sometimes it just takes a few minutes to walk away, have a break, bounce it off someone else and then discover it was right in front of you in the first place.
In the UK we refer to these scenario's as 'we can't see the wood for the tree's' or a more crude version, 'we keep seeing our own arse'.
So easy to get in lost in a problem and have this vendetta of getting it working before leaving and this often has negative effects, I'm sure you've come across this in electronics with circuit tracing and measuring etc.
