I am somewhat inexperienced in this area, so please excuse my unfamiliarity; however, I possess a couple of older Kawasaki zx200s that I engage with primarily for enjoyment. Last night, I began utilizing chat gpt4 and conceived the innovative idea of uploading the Kawasaki programming manual to it, which enabled it to generate lines of code for any straightforward task I requested. Furthermore, I observed that chat gpt is adept at recognizing the content of a photograph. I have not experimented extensively with it, as I have been quite occupied with maintaining operations at my shop, but this truly ignited my interest. I do not believe chat gpt could directly control the robot in real-time; however, it could essentially advise it on navigation and potentially generate the code. For instance, a welding robot could be configured to capture images of the component, and chat gpt could identify welded joints and suggest optimal welding locations. What are your thoughts on this matter? How are artificial intelligence and vision systems currently integrated with industrial robots? Perhaps at some stage, bazoocam it will become sufficiently advanced that one could place a component into a jig and say, “Hey Siri, can you weld my component? ” It might then inquire in an AI-generated voice, “I have devised these possible tool paths for welding; do you approve? ” and proceed to project lasers to indicate welded joints or display this information on a computer screen before executing the welding process.

    Hi, great Vision!

I agree, we will have AI in Industrial Robots very soon (but not now) and everything will change.

Not only for the robots but how we interact with them.

I think we will see this in 2025.
