VP-6242G2 Robot w/ RC7M Controller Support

    Hi,

    I'm looking at a VP-6242G2 robot w/ an RC7M controller and mini teach pendant that I would like to use as a personal trainer to learn robotics. I've reached out to Denso but haven't gotten a reply yet. Is support still available for the RC7M controller? If I buy the full pendant on eBay, will it work plug and play with my controller or do the serial numbers have to match etc? Does the RC7M use WINCAPS III?

    PS: is the key universal for all pendants?

    Yes, you can still find support for the RC7, but as Denso is moving on to the RC8 controller parts and support are becoming harder to find for the RC7’s that are still in use. All teach pendants are universal for RC7’s and RC8’s. The serial number is just to keep track of the specific pendant. Yes, the RC7 is programed with WINCAPS III. Yes, all the keys for the teach pendants are universal.
