    Hello everybody,

I have a question for you all. I have to integrate a Siemens S7-1200 PLC with a ABB IRB1200 robot via PROFINET. I did the following setup but it seems that the signals doesn't change when testing.

I set the IP adress, submask, station name and interface of the robot

The explication continues in the comments section with the rest of the steps and more pictures.

    Thank you!

I added the signals modules to the Profinet network

And I created the signals in this modules

After that I did the PLC configuration as following:

I inserted the GSD file and assigned the IP address, submask and name for both the PLC and the robot

I checked to see if I can access the robot on the network and it showed up

I inserted the I/O modules to be the same as the ones in the robot

Finally, I created the same signals in the PLC, with the same names and addresses

Although, after all the steps the signals correlation doesn't work. I'm waiting for yout feedback and opinion. Thank you for your time and help!

    Best regards,

    Claudiu Muresan

Which version of RobotWare is it? Do you have the Profinet Internal option or the Profinet Anybus option?

The hardware and software configurations differ for each setup. Based on the image you shared, it appears that both options are shown. Keep in mind that two different GSD files are available for these options, and you need to load the correct one.

I browsed the robot profinet configuration and I found out this information, that the Internal PROFINET Interface si BASIC V1.2. So from the GSDM files folder I inserted the Robot BASIC V1.2 File in TIA Portal and configured the signals the same in both PLC and Robot
