    Hello guys,

I would like to know where the folder where the Kuka applications are definitely installed is located. I am trying to uninstall the ArchTech application, in the conventional way, but without success, so I want to delete it manually.

    Controller: KRC4

    What`s your conventional way?

That's a good method to make your robot unusable.

You can load the initial or may be base project from project manager, then try to uninstall the conventional way.

Would make an image and normal backup before.

Most options don't have only one folder, and there are also some system files changed while installing options.

It would be in Start-up -> Additional Software -> Uninstall.

My problem is that: I need ArcTech installed, however, when I go to the program and try to use the application's instructions, they do not appear to me, as if it were not installed. When I go to the help screen, where it shows all the options that are installed, ArcTech appears.

What I would try to do was, uninstall Arctech 1.5.2 (Which currently appears as installed), and install ArcTech 1.3.2 (Which is inside local disk D). However, when I go to the application uninstall screen, ArcTech 1.5.2 (appears as uninstalled), and I can't do any action on it.

Thank you for the suggestion, but even this way I was unsuccessful in uninstalling the application, it seems to me that something must be corrupted.

Might work as well: Try to minimize the HMI. Go to drive d:/kuka_opt/<option>. Try the uninstall from in there.

If your current installation is corrupt sometimes installing the not working one again and then uninstall also helps.

Btw. Is 1.3 even compatible with your KSS version? If currently 1.5 is installed it is probably for a different KSS version. Also process might be different depending on KSS version. You only told us you have KRC4 a hardware revision that can run different KSS versions. Do you have a KOP or traditional setup?

not sure why is it so hard to determine if issue is hardware or software related. or determining product version or read about the products they use.

installing/uninstalloing software is obviously software related issue so stating KSS would make sense. stating KRC type or robot arm model is useless in this case.

then knowing KSS one can lookup info and all compatible options on Xpert (as mentioned in READ FIRST)

product version info for KSS8.3 for example is
    KUKA Xpert

and it also has list of comppatible options. several ArcTech versions are compatible, including
    KUKA Xpert
    KUKA Xpert

and each have manuals with instructions to install/uninstall.

but different versions need different license and you may be engaging in software piracy, which forum rules forbid.
for license related issues contact manufacturer.

    1) read pinned topic: READ FIRST...

    2) if you have an issue with robot, post question in the correct forum section... do NOT contact me directly

    3) read 1 and 2
