I need help with a project at my school, where I need to communicate with a PLC using the Ethernet IP protocol. I have two robots, but I tried with just one, and it failed 😅. The robot is a collaborative robot, CR-7iA, and I have added the Ethernet IP option.
However, when I try to communicate with my Siemens PLC 1215, the robot does not recognize the PLC. In the Ethernet IP connection menu, the PLC address is not recognized.
Parameters for the robot:
- IP: 10.101.91.20
- Hostcom name: PLC
- Hostcom IP: 10.101.91.17
- Connection 1:
- Adapter
- Input word: 4
- Output word: 4
The robot does not recognize the PLC, so I cannot proceed further.
Parameters for the PLC:
- IP: 10.101.91.17
- I have configured an Ethernet IP connection in TIA Portal.
