I am new to Industrial cobots. For my project I have to integrate a vision sensor, Keyence IX-150 with IX-H2000 Amplifier with a Schneider Lexium Cobot. Im seeking suggestions on how to make the image based laser sensor communicate with the cobot. The final application is bin picking. The gateway I think should be used is Ethercat. My questions is, would I require a PLC between the cobot and the camera ? If so which PLC can be used ? Beckhoff or Siemens ?
I am attaching a proposed layout which might be helpful in understanding what I am trying to say.
