Hi
Iam using kuka robort. At present it is connected with RS232 to the normal pc and I dont know much about this.
Is it possible to connect to pc other than RS232? If possible which is the best one to use ? what the advantage of using other than RS232.Thank you very much

That depends entirely on what data you want to transfer, and how quickly.
RS232 is the only standard communication to a PC that KRCs support natively. To communicate via Ethernet, you would have to buy the KRL-XML add-on package.
If you want to perform realtime communications, then you would need the newer versions of RSI which support realtime XML/ethernet communications.
Or, if the PC in question could support an add-in DeviceNet or Profibus card, you could create a communications channel that way.

The links are not working anymore. At least I can not access.

Many of the archives were lost when the forum software was upgraded a year ago. Just use the Search function for "RS232," you'll get many hits.
