Unwiring/Disabling T2 M-2iA and other controllers.

    My company wants us to permanently disable T2 on our Fanuc Robots due to a near miss that has happened in the past. I was wondering if I could unwire the wires that enable T2 in the selector switch without swapping to a 2-position switch for cost savings

    I have already changed variables for T2 to not be able to be enabled, but someone has figured out how to enable it with a writing a quick variable change program and then wrote a program to disable it, but they forget to change it back. So, we are looking for a solution without having to change all selector keys from 3 position to 2 position.

    Maybe put in BG logic a program that continously changes the variable to the intended value. Or make a program that runs upon startup, doing the same thing?

    Or hard-wire the status output of T2-mode in series with the E-stop or similar?


    Otherwise, just open a cabinet and using a Multimeter find out what cables runs to the T2-mode and then deal with them.
