    Hello everyone,

Setting up a R2000ic/210L robot, with J30iB controller, cabinet A, I am having an issue with the start-up of the communications bus with PLC and peripherals using profinet: the fanuc board is visible to the PLC and other equipment when it works in SINGLE mode, but when I change it to DUAL, it is no longer accessible. The board is configured as SINGLE from the factory, so when changing to DUAL the firmware must be updated via karel file included inside the controller; when I did this, the update must not have been successful, since the version that was marked in OS was 0.0.0 on the tp, and not 1.1.0. We realized this after loading all the files from the network and doing all the necessary startups. We have already tried switching from DUAL to SINGLE and again to DUAL updating firmware in the proccess (this time the updates were right), reloading configuration files, deleting them from the FR/PNFB folder and trying to do a configuration from 0, but it does not seem to work, the board is only visible in SINGLE mode. Any ideas? Is there any way to reset the card to factory settings, without loading an image?

    Many thanks in advance. Regards

Do you have option S523 or S536? Single and Dual channel mode use different format of the device1 file and also a different GSDML file. Are you using the correct Ethernet ports of the FANUC PN board? When using Dual channel mode, port 1 and 2 are used for PN Device function and port 3 and 4 are used for PN Controller function.

    Hello DS,

All options and connections are OK.

After many tests I found on $PNFB.DIAG2 that the ports' MAC IDs were overlapped in DUAL mode, and that's why it only worked correctly in SINGLE. The firmware must have been corrupted and when updating to dual mode it doesn't write the correct MACs in the configuration variables. We have changed the card for another one and FANUC will replace the faulty one.

    Greetings!
