wire sticking

    Hi all

    anyone can help me understand the how does the wire stcking work??

    even the wire doesn t stick the message of wire sticking appears a lot and cause a delay in the production line

    any help please

    Wire sticking is different in an analog or digital connection. What controller do you have? What weld power supply do you have? How is the welder connected to the controller (analog or digital)?


    Basically, if you are not welding and the controller senses the weld wire is touching ground you get "wire stick". This is most commonly caused by the weld wire touching ground (the liner passes through the fence to the bulk spool and chafes through and touches the fence, or the bulk spool is on the machine frame (always insulate the weld wire from ground)). Another thing to look at is the weld positive cable that runs up the arm of the robot. If the insulation has worn through it can touch the robot (that is grounded) and cause "wire stick" alarms.
