We recently installed a new welder and feeder to evaluate how much spatter reduction it achieves. However, we're facing an issue: when feeding the wire in the positive direction, it occasionally rolls back. When the wire encounters even slight tension, it starts retracting backwards. Even if you manually try to feed it forward, it spins in reverse. Both robots have the same welding configuration, but this problem only occurs with one of them. Has anyone experienced a similar issue or know if there's a parameter that could be adjusted to fix it?

In components and monitoring, on the Fronius pendant, check to see what the condition handling is set to for motor over-force. Although typically the response is simply to error out if motor force is too high.

We're having a similar issue. Did you ever resolve this?

In our case, it was the gooseneck, shorting even if it’s small chuck of spatter in there. Insulation issue.
