Normally there are some buttons on robot base to release every axis brake.
The number of brake release buttons depends on the type of manipulator (e.g. IRB 6700 has 6 buttons, IRB 1300 has 4 buttons where the fourth button is for axes 4-6, a SCARA has only 1 button for the whole brake release unit).
Detailed information about the brake release (e.g. location, how to use it, etc.) can be found in the product manual of your manipulator type.
If i understand correct, normally for each axis there are one button not for all axis one button.
I will know in 6 axis robot because i listen there are only one button for each robot.

At least for medium and high payload robots there is one button for each axis. What is the robot type you are planning to use?
