Operation Prohibited by External Device

    So I have DX200 controller and robot linked with milling machine.

    Everything works perfect in teach mode, but once I switch to remote, servo turns off and I am unable to play program :frowning_face:

    It's giving me this info : Operation prohibited by External Device

    I tried to switch on/off pseudo inputs, but none of these worked.

    I do not have any external buttons / pedants, only remote from yaskawa.

    Any ideas?

    if you do not have external buttons etc why are you switching to remote? who will give the start to the system? if it is the operator from the pendant then you must switch to play. If you it will be controlled from external device then you switch to remote.

    when you go to automatic mode then you need to turn on the servos again.

    I am sorry I am new to yaskawa, when I program ( teach ) everything is alllright, but when I want to switch to remote (play) servo won't turn on. And I am also unable to do anything, and then getting this message, which dissapears after couple of seconds.

    It only happens when I press the green button on remote.


    However if I turn key to the middle position ( remote ) I guess, I can turn servo on but when I press play, it gives error 0530 Start Reservation Mode.


    What I also noticed, if I switch to remote ( middle position ) I am able to turn servo ON, and then switch to Play with servo still ON, but again... getting message that operation is prohibited by external device

    When the key on the pendant is turned fully anti-clockwise that is teach. You have control.

    The key in the middle position is Play. You should be be able to press servos on/ready then the green button to start the job.

    The key rotated fully clock-wise is Remote. You would turn on servos and start the job from an external device.

    Are you using Reserved Start? If not, since you are in Safety security level, go to SETUP, FUNCTION ENABLE and turn Reserved Start to Prohibit.


    If so, you need to see what input is being used in the SETUP, RES. START (CNCT) screen.
