    Hey,

I have a Pick-and-Place project with one KUKA robot, two conveyors and KUKA.PickControl. My problem: I cant reach the camera from Workvisual or Smart-HMI.

    Hardware & Software:
PickControl V1.3.5, VisionTech V4.3.9, EthernetKRL, ProConOS
    KRC5 KSS 8.7.7
    Kuka (Baumer) Camera VCXG25MI PoE
IPC: selfbuild with networkcard and PickControl Deploymentpackage

    My Network Configuration:
    KLI: KRC(XF5) 192.168.1.101, IPC 192.168.1.100, Service-Laptop 192.168.1.201
    KSB(VLAN10): KRC(XF4)172.17.x.x (intern subnets), IPC 172.100.1
    Camera: IPC 192.169.2.20, Camera: 192.169.2.101
The KLI and KSB are on separate Networkcards.

PickControl needs an IPC for image processing and syncing the date to the conveyor. Otherwise I would try connecting the camera directly to the KRC.

The connection to the camera ist with static IPv4, Baumer Packet Filter Driver activated and Jumbo Packet on 9014 Bytes.
With the tool Baumer Camera Explorer on the IPC I found the camera, configured the IP-adress and get a live picture.

In Workvisual the visionserver is defined with the IP of the IPC. Connection is working. Only I cant find a camera or cant download the config with a specified seriel number of the camera, because an error accured on the connection with the camera with that seriel number.

PickControl Master and time sync are working.

I dont know, why the kuka system cant find the camera.

Also I am wondering how it even technically should work, when the camera is on a different network.
Therefore I also tried to adjust the network masks, so every device could see the camera.
I dont know how the IPC will transfer/route the camera to the KLI.

    Thanks in advance!

basic check involves ping and comparing network settings. but...

it is unclear how everything is connected and what the network settings of your computer are.

did not work with PickControl but i am aware that there are different configuration options depending if vision data is shared with single robot and multiple robots.

    as far as i recall:

camera network is on a separate subnet used only by VisionTech (192.169.2.x).

when using single robot, camera is connected directly to KRC and it plugs into KONI interface of the KRC. well... one could still use IPC is VisionTech needs a lot of processing power...

when using multiple robots (as meant for PickControl), camera connects to IPC (one of the two network ports). another network port of the IPC connects to a network switch where KLI of all the robots are connected to.

the camera network is used only for data acquisition. VisionTech runs on IPC and accesses camera(s) through that network and processes data. but the results are available on another network port - one that connects to KLI.... because robots use KLI and EthernetKRL to exchange data.

manipulating subnet mask to combine two networks is probably a bad idea.

    2) if you have an issue with robot, post question in the correct forum section... do NOT contact me directly

    3) read 1 and 2

ok... that is clear now...so there are 3 networks/subnets, and they are colored differently

Because of the processing power needed for PickControl I must use an IPC, whether there are one or more robots or cameras.

    Solution:

vcruntime140.dll was missing in the VisionServiceHost on the PLC.

    Thanks to the support.
