    Robot model - CP180

    Controller - E01

So i am trying to do an auto tool measurement to get the weight of the load. Im doing everything according to the manuals. On first option i select tool number 0 and also tried 1. When i execute the auto measure program it just moves it up with jt3 and then down nothing else. And it only calculates Load mass (witch is incorrect by a large margin) and nothing else - center of gravity x,y,z stays on 0. I disabled CP motion and also went over system swithes and checked so there is no problem there. Also i did without registering tool cords before it didnt work, now i registered tool cords and still nothing changed, it gives me back diffrent value everytime and only load mass nothing else. Robot is new (40hrs work time). Had no diffrent issues.

    Hi

Due to the fact that CP series have just 4 axis it can not perform full calculation of mass and center of gravity.

I did Auto Load Measurement on CP180L robot once and as far as I remember it only moved 3rd axis during measurements

Contact your Kawasaki distributor regarding this as the auto load macro's specifically reference JT6 and as a 4 axis arm only has JT4 and not JT6, the auto load measurement would usually error out with JT6 error messages as it doesn't exist.

Also from memory, in order for full load measurement to work, inertia ident requires enabling.

This was how it was several years ago, but they may have introduced a more permanent resolution for this now in more recent firmware revisions.
