Hello,
I haven't found anything in the documentation for the IRC5 2004 controller about what power limitations are at the XT31 terminal. Later versions of the manual for newer hardware state:
2.3.6 Power supply
General
In combination with DeviceNetTM m/s single channel (option 709-1) and any
DeviceNetTM node (for example option 716-1), the customer power supply is
pre-wired in the following ways:
Single cabinet
• As standard 24 V I/O supplies the DeviceNetTM bus and is also available for
general usage on door terminals XT31. Available current 1.6 - 8 A
My controller is pretty basic and has one DSQC 652 IO option. I'd like to install some additional hardware, I've calculated I need just under 3 amps at 24VDC (Banner XS26 safety controller, light curtains etc). Can I safely use (with appropriate fusing) the 24VDC at XT31?
Thanks
Greg.
