How to Deactivate External Axis

    Hello Everyone,

    We had robot ABB irb 6640 and irc5 controller with track motion irbt 6004, and we need to using just the robot at somewhere else without the track motion. But i got error massage, about revolution axis 7 not calibrated and cant execute the program. How to deactivate this external axis so we can use it without track motion, and use it again when the other job was done.

    I've used DeactUnit and ActUnit instructions for disconnecting ext axis - changing servo weld guns as an example. Not sure if it applies to what you are doing. If it is, you need to deactivate before you disconnect the external axis.

    Depending on how your system is set up you may not be able to deactivate the external axis (SafeMove)

    Yes, we can use ActUnit or DeactUnit instruction.

    If u got a msg "Not callibrated axis 7"...

    Recommand "Revolition counter update" at matching eye-Mark plate.

    ABB, FANUC, Hyundai, Kawasaki

    you may also need to remove the external axis position from the program.
