    Hi,

For the project I'm working on, we are use the Fanuc Tablet as a HMI. The UI works perfectly but we always have to go to "Menu->Plugin->Plugin List" to start the application.

Is there a way to automatically start the HMI when we start the controller? I've seen the KAREL function "FORCE_LINK" but I'm not sure how and where I can call this function.

    Thank you

    **Sorry for english

Put the app in the TP's startup apps list.

Not sure exactly of what you're saying. Where is that?

The TP's operating system is basically a windows CE tablet. Should be able to find the startup list and add the Fanuc app there. Sorry I don't have one presently to try.

I don't think we're talking about the same thing. We're using the TP to run a iHMI plugin. By default, when you power on the controller, the application Fanuc is running, as expected.

What I want to do is : When the application startup, I want to autoload my iHMI plugin I created instead of go to "Menu->Plugin->Plugin List".

    How can I achieved it?

Have you tried contacting Fanuc tech support?

    Hello!

There is no clean way to do this that I'm aware of, but this is a workaround we've found (you'll need karel):

first you need to create a program that will run on start (say... force_start_boot.kl). You can set it to run on start by manually setting the system variables $pwr_normal and $pwr_semi. You can also do this from the autocfg file of your plugin.

That program should just run another program without waiting for it to finish, it needs to exit quickly.

    RUN_TASK('force_start', 0, FALSE, FALSE, 1, status)

Then the force_start program should either start a timer (around 30 seconds) or listen to some condition that indicates that the system is up. We check that $UI_MENHIST[1].$HIST_ENTRY[1] is populated and it works pretty well.

Then, once your condition is met you can call

    FORCE_LINK(TP_PANEL, '/frh/plugin/your_plugin_name/index.htm')

It should override whatever fanuc is trying to load and load your plugin instead.

    Hope that helps!
