I am completing a college project using 'KUKA ready2_educate' cell which has a KRC5 Micro robot and a secondary company integrated a Siemens 1512SP F-1 PN PLC to the robot to trigger inputs and outputs,
The program for the Siemens PLC was not provided to the college and we tried to complete an upload from another cell with all the hardware components in the program, the upload was successful from the cell and all components were visible and reading in good condition.
After the PLC program was downloaded to the robot cell we have been working on it came up with an error saying that the '64 safe digital in- and outputs (2.4) was 'Not reachable' in the system diagnostic status. The only way to clear the fault is to remove the safety digital in/output module but we are not getting the 'General motion enable' status for the robot. It looks like we are getting some connection between the robot and the PLC as the PNIODriver has been enabled but we are missing the safety features.
Any help or possible areas to review would be greatly appreciated!
