I am setting up fanuc user levels, is there a way to use PLC data to enter the password or user data into the fanuc? I am controlling the robot using ethernet IP from an AB compactlogic PLC, which already is using RFID for login/user tracking of HMI access levels, and looking to see if there is any method I can use the PLC to login to the robot so all user access is controlled through 1 point of access.

My thought was to run BKG logic that examines input data from the PLC and changes user access levels on the robot, but cannot see a way to change user levels within logic.

Are you able to login to different levels from the PLC or just the admin? I'm currently using the autologin_3 to login as admin but if its possible to have operator and techs also login to their levels that would be better as I could eliminate the USB drives for login.

    hello,

    i atached the karel file.

    How to use it:

    1. select it in Macro table and run it there with DI[99] (DI[99] needs to be ON as long as the user is logged In)

    2. send DI[100] for level 1, DI[101] for level 2, DI[102] for level 3, DI[103] for level 4 or DI[104] for level 8 (i think admin is level 8 if i remember correct)

    3. turn DI[99] off to logg out

the .pc file is in version 8.3.. if you need in another version please let me know or if you need other Inputs

i also attached one usefull karel to read the password from different users.. sometimes its usefull if the user forgets his password. just select and run.. enter the listnumber where the user is located or enter 999 to show all users.
