    Hi,

I have a M-16i with a R-J2 controller. I have an application where I need to monitor a DI in the background when our main program is not running.

Autoexec executes right after bootup but I don't think it will run continuously after that. Condition handlers look promising but a program has to be running already.

The group that put this robot together didn't use RSR or PNS so we have to bring up the main program on the pendant then hit Cycle Start - after this I can "see" the input. I need to be monitoring the input when the main program isn't running.

    Any ideas?

Do you have ASCII upload or RoboGuide?

It is possible to modify the header of a TP program so that it can run continuously, but it has to bedone offline, IME.

I can post details in a little bit, but they are already here in the forum if you search.

Autoexec will run continuously if you add a jump lable.
