    Hello all,

I've found an issue when attempting to send programs from K-IDE to the robot I am connected to.

I start out by receiving the AS file from the robot. All of the move instructions in the programs look like the following:

Ii comes into K-IDE with the space in between 'CL1' and '='. It is not this way in the robot, there is no space between them.

K-IDE gives an error for every single move instruction. If i manually remove the space between the tokens, the programs are sent to the robot without issue.

If I pull another AS file, even immediately after pushing the modified programs, the programs will come into K-IDE with the spaces again.

Has anyone seen this before and know how to alleviate this? Looks like a possible difference with two versions of the compiler on K-IDE vs the robot.

    Thanks!

You should pop over to the KIDE forum if you have specific issues you've identified as that way you will be in touch with the developers:
    K-IDE support forum (kide-forum.eu)

If it's a compiler issue then this is likely to be your controller is using firmware that KIDE is not compatible with......That's just a vote for joe by the way.

Pop over to the forum though, I am sure others may have posted this issue previously, or indeed you may have discovered a software issue which I am sure they can look further into.

So what happens if you download from controller to KIDE and then immediately upload without modification?

What is it you are actually downloading and uploading, full examples of what you are sucking out of the controller and what you are trying to upload from KIDE would be helpful and actual error statements instead of generalising everything under one hood?

If you attach your full file save from the controller and the full save from KIDE prior to uploading to the controller, I can have a look over them for you to see if either controller or KIDE are inserting some strange events?

Thanks for the info and link to that forum, I'll pop over there and give it a look.

It will have the spaces in it and throw the error.

I actually did some more playing around with it this morning and realized that if I pull in the .AS from the robot, the programs have the spaces. But if I pull in the programs only, the space is not there. I'm deducing that the compiler/parser that decodes the programs from the AS is likely the culprit.

For anyone lurking for an answer:

So for now, I'll just import the programs separately after the .AS to make sure they don't come in with the extra space.

Thanks for the assist and direction to that forum.

    1. So for anyone lurking, what is this error, can you provide a screenshot of it?

    2. Are you talking about download a full file save or selectable file save like .pg, .lc, .rv, .sys etc?

    Hello!

Please, update KIDE to the latest version. I found this bug and KIDE developer already fixed it in the latest versions https://www.kide-forum.eu/t103f5-Reforma…aching-bug.html

You should post your results in KIDE forum, I expect they will request firmware and controller details you are trying to connect and modify too.
