S-430iF. SRVO-156 IPMAL alarm (G:1 A:4)

    I did read all other topics mentioning this error.
    However in my case it comes up even before the contactor enables (motor) power to the 6-axis drive board.
    Control power is separate and it reaches the board.


    I did unplug the motor cable - no changes, as expected, as there is no power anyway.
    I did swap Axis 4 and Axis 5 FUJI modules (they are exactly the same).
    Weird, but now it says SRVO-156 IPMAL alarm (G:1 A:3).
    I was expecting either A5 or no change (in case of surrounding electronics).
    But it is A3 now.

    Would appreciate any ideas on the above.

    I did order replacement modules from eBay.

    I have encountered this fault before and definitely your IPM module is defective. There is no need to look for the fault in a different place. The module also has protection diodes at the power input of the electronic board, which it does because they leak voltage. The IPM module needs to be changed.
