The loose wire was at the power button at the operator station before we can push the button but it would not stay engaged in the 480 power panel . After he traced it back to that switch (control Power) button it worked. Also from what he said the e stops that would not go away ... well it was related from debris and rust on the circuits. The maintance guy was scrapping the ceiling with 40 yrs plus paint and debris over all our robots without covering them up . Maintainance guy wanted to replace 2 boards in the base of the robot and also the panel that has the remote local key at . So in all. Nothing needed to be replaced . Except the loose wiring he found. I will post a picture 📸 of the operator control are spot where he was telling me something g wasn't adding up on the button .

That's great feedback and appreciate your time and reflects the fact that it was working and has just suffered from:
    - Standing dormant and batteries have become exhausted -BZAL and remastering.
    - Contamination in contacts.
    - Loose wire which is part of the cycle circuit managed by the PLC.
    - Wire may have come loose during investigations, or 'just connected' last time it was used.

Actual error code would be nice as Fanuc has many error codes which could be reversed engineered to ascertain just why loose wire at button end to PLC, produced error in Fanuc.

    Thank you.....:top:

p.s to ALL members participating, thank you for your information, it has benefitted me 100%.

I am trying to locate COMM 082 references and cannot find any matches.
At some point, can you look in alarm history on pendant and post image of what is displayed?

Also for future reference linuxsand has kindly created a basic Fanuc alarm lookup table which can be found here at the forum which is a good 1st instance link when manuals are not available:
A website: Know FANUC alarm codes - Manuals, Software and Tools for Fanuc Robots (you should look here first before posting) - Robotforum - Support and discussion community for industrial robots and cobots (robot-forum.com)

There are threads created that will help you through these errors. A quick search will get you faster results than posting on this thread for irrelevant issues.
