IIWA Rtos Configuration Setup failed (compatibility issue motherboard with KRC4)

    Hi Everyone,

    By any chance does anyone happen to know if there are any compatibility issues with (same model, article number) motherboard from a KRC4 compact model?

    The original motherboard failed, somehow it shorted and some components burnt, so we tried to replace with an identical board from a spare KRC4 controller but system is not booting.

    The server doesn't initialize because there are some discrepancies with the drivers.

    We have a sunrise cabinet with Sunrise OS v1.14 the original version of the cabinet (we have also tried with sunrise OS v.17)

    Is there anyway to integrate a KRC4 standard motherboard into our IIWA controller setup? I'm curious if by any chance anyone happens to have any USB recovery tools to reconfigure the motherboard or specialized files containing the necessary drivers for firmware modification and virtual network setup.

    Hello what I can see from the KUKA's market place when ordering the spare parts, that in the Sunrise cabinet the "CPU quad-core Skylake LGA1151" is used under the bundle content for the SUNRISE spare part and for the Compact cabinet spare parts bundle it is used "Dual Core CPU CPU dual-core Skylake LGA1151". RAM's are also identical in both cabinets.


    When exchanging motherboard's did you used also the QUAD processor from the SUNRISE cabinet or did you leave the DUAL core proccesor from the Compact cabinet? maybe that has something to do with compatibility. Because trying to order a spare part from market place it gets you to the same page for motherboard with same article number, either going for the parts for SUNRISE or KRC4 Compact, so I think that would mean the same BIOS with same settings I guess, regardless the controller. Only difference is with processor which is mounted on the motherboard when ordering spare parts.

    For anyone who would like to know, we did solve the issue.
    The motherboard is the same. But the issue really is the microprocessor.

    You swapped the processor from damaged board and the system booted.

    So you do need the Quadcore for the sunrise cabinet.
