I have several Abb robots where the exchange cables controlling the gripper and the camera exchange are often damaged by the movement of the robot and over time this causes loss of communication. I've seen that there are wireless systems. Have you already installed one? does it work well? which ones do you recommend? is there latency?

I have used Phoenix Contact FL WLAN, don't remember the exact model number. It worked well with no noticeable lag. The main downfall was our IT team constantly taking over our channels for their wireless networks and causing interference, leading to communication drops. Also it had to be kept in line of sight for optimal performance. If you have a good mounting location and can keep it isolated on its own band, they work great.
