KRC5 COMMUNICATION

    Hello Everyone,

    I have some doubts, I have KUKA KRC5 Controller and ROBOT (KR20 R1820-2E/ SEL) . In other hands i had omron NX1P2 PLC. I Successfully communicated both using Ethernet IP. Now, I need to share values like 123 and 2.45 like this. In workvisual I also mapped Input and outputs. Now if I sent 10 in $IN01 in teach pendent also want to see 10

    Well, what do you see? Are you sending 10 from the robot to the PLC, or from the PLC to the robot?

    $IN and $OUT in KRL are boolean variables. To use them to send/receive integers, you need to create a SIGNAL declaration like

    SIGNAL MyOutputInteger = $IN[1] TO $IN[8]

    This would create an integer variable that represents the decimal equivalent of the binary number created by $INs 1-8.

    Hello, I am also looking to connect a KRC5 micro (SLAVE) to an OMRON NX1P2 PLC (MASTER).

    On the work visual side I think I have set the parameters correctly but on the sysmac studio side it is impossible to find an eds file for the KRC5 to be able to continue configuring.

    Do you have any advice?

    EDS files for KRCs are usually included when you install WorkVisual on your computer. They should be located in a subdirectory of the WorkVisual install directory. For example, something similar to:

    c:\Program Files (x86)\KUKA\WorkVisual 6.0\DeviceDescriptions\EDS\
