Analog Input-Output Profinet

Hi

I am new on this forum, and need help about analog inputs and outputs maping over profinet cp1604.

I have digital IO working but can not find the way to set analog .

Controler is Fanuc 30iB plus,profinet is configured like (I device)...GSDML file etc .

PLC is SIEMENS S7 1200.

I don't believe it is possible over Profinet. AI and AO is intended for analog input and output cards sold by Fanuc.

Have the PLC send the analog value over a GI, or you send it over GO.

In fact, I was thinking of sending a real or integer number via Profinet to plc and vice versa.

I thought it was the only way possible, through analog inputs and outputs.

Any ideas?

Follow Nation's advise. Use Group I/O to send and receive integers.

Analog I/O is reserved for Fanuc's analog hardware.

One last thing, group I/O, by default, uses two's complement to encode positive and negative values.

It is not mentioned in Fanuc's documentation, at least not that I can find, so it is worth mentioning.
