Motoman UP20 #7010 relay not turn on

  • Hi All,

I have a Motoman UP20, and I try to use external start but it won't work.

I dig down and found a system ladder has

    STR #7010

    AND #5073

    OUT #4044

I found that #7010 was never turn on even I turn on the servo.

Does anyone know anything about this aux. relay #7010?

    Thanks.

    Approved the thread.
  • Unless it has been changed, 7010 should be the first rung on the user side.

    STR #2010

    OUT #7010

#2010 is the hardwired connection for the start push button. CN12-B1.

I know a thing or two, because I’ve seen a thing or two. Don't even ask about a third thing. I won't know it.

  • Thanks.

It turns out that someone changed those 2 lines to something else, because he can't figure out how to insert new lines.

Do you know how to add lines to the user ladder?

  • The SELECT button brings up the list of instructions when you are on the address (left) side.

It's like a robot job. From the address you can add new instructions and delete instructions. From the instruction side you can change the way the existing line looks.

If you may any changes you have to AREA key up to DATA, SELECT, COMPILE, YES. Servos do need to be off to compile.

I know a thing or two, because I’ve seen a thing or two. Don't even ask about a third thing. I won't know it.
