Enable TP in the HTML irprogrammer view of the scara SR-6iA robot with a R30iB compact plus controller

  • Hello all,

I must activate the TP to be able to keep working in a robot without TP.

It worked, something changed and now it is not working anymore, I can't access the irProgrammer, neither I can jog the robot.

If I select NAVIGATE IPENDANT (JCGTP) :: under the 3D display a yeld with "Turn the teach pendant enable switch to [on]" message appears.

If I select JOGGING IPENDANT (JITP) :: a white web page with "Auto mode is required" text appears.

If I select SOFT OPERATOR PANEL :: a white web page with a lot of text appears:

    "SYST-244 Auto mode is required

    Cause:

    This operation requires Auto mode.

    Remedy:

Change the mode switch to Auto.

    SYST-245 Local mode is required

    Cause:

    This operation requires Local mode.

    Remedy:

    Change the mode to Local.

    SYST-246 Teach mode is required

    Cause:

    This operation requires Teach mode.

    Remedy:

    Change the mode to Teach.

    SYST-247 Master ON is required

    Cause:

This operation requires a Master ON situation.

    Remedy:

Ensure that the Master ON situation exists.

    SYST-248 Alarm condition

    Cause:

This operation requires no alarm situation.

    Remedy:

    Clear the alarm situation.

    SYST-249 No system ready input

    "

With all that information... given this is a robot without pendant, how could I activate AUTO and the TP?

    Thank you all.

By default you should normally be able to access the iRProgrammer from the web server. Which messages do you get when trying to open the iRProgrammer?

Do you have a backup from the point where it was possible to connect to the controller with the iRProgrammer? If yes, I would recommend to perform a restore.

If I understood correctly, you don't have a TP nor the optional switch box. Which option is installed on the controller to select the operating mode?

Did you connect all jumper connectors on the front of the controller? At least the jumpers for the TP and the JRT3 connector?

If I select SOFT OPERATOR PANEL :: a white web page with a lot of text appears:

The Soft Operator Panel won't help you with this issue because you can't change the operating mode from the Soft Operator Panel. You can only do some limited stuff with the Soft Operator Panel.

  • pdl the option you pointed out is not present in my system.

DS186 when I try to enter irProgrammer I get "Auto mode is required" text in white background only.

As far as I know, there is no option installed to select the operating mode at all.

It's my fist robot without pendant and I thought all the time it would have to be in AUTO because everything seems to require that to work...

No idea, I think the electricians have connected only the cap that is tied with a small "chain" to the cabinet to the plug where the pendant should be connected.

    Thank you both.

If you don't have the optional switch box and also no (hardware) remote mode switch connected to JRT3 you need to use the jumper connector for JRT3. Check with FANUC (or check the scope of delivery of your system) if the jumper connector has been delivered.

Do you have an AoA backup? If yes, please open the SUMMARY.DG or ORDERFIL.DAT with a text editor and check the installed options. If you don't have one of the above hardware options for the mode selection there must be another option, e.g. TP Mode Select or External Mode Select.

Have you ever been able to open the iRProgrammer on that robot?

  • My last SCARA with a Compact Plus controller was also ordered with no TP and also no switch box. For the mode selection I have ordered External Mode Select. After installing all necessary jumpers/connections and turning on the power the controller was in Auto mode by default.

  • Sorry for being so late answering DS186 ,

This morning I have spent one hour with a Fanuc technician and at the end he told me they would have to come, connect a TP and reconfigure the robot.

An "All of above" backup recovery has not helped at all.

Unless somebody here knows of a method to go back to AUTO without a TP connected, I will have to wait for them to come (or send a TP).

    Thanks for your messages!
