    Hello all,

Trying to start a Scara robot without pendant (it came like this from Fanuc, the final customer prefers it this way).

I am getting the alarm SRVO-002 Teach pendant E-stop alarm (that one should not be there given the robot has no pendant).

I also get SRVO-037 IMSTP input (Group:1). That one should not be there too... I can see the PLC activating the signal and the signal in the UOP robot inputs to be active/ON.

I get SYST-305 System startup in progress both in red and in yellow.

And SRVO-001/007 which is normal because the machine is still in emergency condition.

Will the previous errors disappear as soon as the machine has the emergency channels ready?

Thank you very much in advance.

Generally when addressing issues, always start with the alarm/event that was reported first.

Easiest is to open the Alarm History-page and press Reset and then see which alarm is the first to appear.

As you don't have a Teach Pendandt, you should have a jumper connector (plug) which will jumper the TP E-stop signals.

Start with that, then hope that the other alarms will be able to reset after that.

If you don't have a TP nor the optional switch box you need to plug in a jumper connector to JRT3 located on the front of the Compact controller.

If I remember correctly the jumper connector has a separate order number. Check the maintenance manual for the Compact controller (e.g. B-84035EN/04) for detailed information.

Here i have the same isue, the pendant "brige" and the additional conector as mentioned are in place.

In the DCS setting menu>system>dcs>mode select: is set to external.

The alarm that the estop on the pendant and controler box is not oke are still active.

Are the still some things i can check?

What are the exact alarm numbers?

Can you confirm that the jumper connectors for JRT3 and TP are connected? Did you also connect external emergency stop as well as fence to the JRM18 connector? Also check if 24VEXT_IN is connected to 24V-2 and 0VEXT is connected to 0V in case you are using internal power supply. If external power is used then check the external power supply and its connection to 24VEXT_IN and 0VEXT.

At the end, after speaking a couple of hours with a super nice technician from Fanuc, they decided to send a pendant to our place.

They said it was not possible to revive the controller without extra hardware and they offered to send a technician with a pendant.

Given we had to store several points and that it would be faster / safer with the deadman switch, they have sent the pendant and we've reconfigured it all to revive the robot.

Thank you all for your help about this!

Sorry for not having said anything till now, we are starting several machines at once and it is becoming complicated to find some time...

Yes, the jumper connectors for JRT3 and TP are connected on the controler.

The external E-stop and fence are working as they should be, only the pendant alarms are active.

    The alarms i mentioned are:

    SRVO-002 operator panel e-stop

    SRVO-001 Teach pendant E-stop

Today i will check the power connections as you suggested.

    Update:

    SOLVED:

Its was a bad wiring issue, we lookt over it several times and didn't see it.

    Tanks for the info.
