External axis can't reach max speed

    Hello,

    My controller is a KRC5 with KSS 8.7.528.
    I have a strange phenomenon with a linear external axis E1 (model MG260) : I don't manage to make it run at full speed, despite trying a simple program in Auto mode :

    $VEL_EXTAX[1]=100

    $ACC_EXTAX[1]=100

    PTP_REL {E1 -1000000}


    I compared different motion command (PTP, LIN, absolute and relative...) but in all cases E1 speed is only reaching 69% of $VEL_AXIS_MA.

    Furthermore I can see the required speed is well set : in the variable view I see $VEL_EXTAX_C[1] =100

    Am I missing something ? :/

    velocity can depend on many things including override, safety etc.


    also you are not sharing how exactly are you trying to attach image, using what device and what steps.

    Hi panic mode, thank you for your answer.

    Regarding the image attachment, when I move my file to this editor I have the "Drop now to upload" message, but then nothing happens. I tried in both Firefox and Edge (Windows 10). I have reduced the image to 900kb, so it should not be a question of file size.

    If I try to use the "Insert image" I don't understand how the source and link fields work. Should I use an external service (Google drive, Dropbox,...) to store the image, and then generate a link to it ?

    On the picture I want to send, one can see the potentiometer is 100% in Auto mode, and the $VEL_AXIS_ACT is 69 %.

    Regarding safety I didn't have a look at the configuration, but usually if a safe function is triggered there is a warning on the KCP, which is not the case here. Is there a safe function or parameter that doesn't generate a message ?

    Thank you for the procedure.
    Unfortunately I can't paste in the editor : exactly as you shown, I made a selection in Paint, then I tried both Ctrl+V and right-click/paste. Nothing happens, the cursor is still blinking in this message window... I tried in both Edge and Firefox. When I paste elesewhere (Word,...) it works ! 8|

    Contrary to your example, I don't have the "Attachments" tab hereunder, only the "Smilies" and "Settings". Is there a right problem in the forum, where standard users can't add attachments ? :/

    It may be the newness of your account. IIRC, as part of the attempt to hobble the hundreds of spambots that keep signing up for accounts, a new user account can't post attachments until after they've made at least 3(?) posts without collecting any infractions. So you should be able to post attachments soon-ish, if you keep up posting activity.
